Introduced in 2015, this model was designed around the powerful .338 Lapua Magnum cartridge and Savage's specialized single-shot Magnum Target action. This example, factory model 22448, serial number K021490, features a 26" heavy barrel, factory muzzle brake, oversized bolt handle, and Savage's adjustable Target AccuTrigger system. The rifle is fitted with an attractive black and gray laminated wood target stock featuring contrasting dark layers and factory pillar bedding. This distinctive laminated stock provides a rigid platform for the heavy-barreled action while giving the rifle a traditional target-rifle appearance. The Target AccuTrigger is designed for precision shooting, with a factory adjustment range extending down to approximately six ounces. The rifle's single-shot configuration eliminates the detachable magazine and is designed for deliberate, individually loaded target shooting.
