Ruger | 22 Charger Takedown | .22 LR | 10" Threaded Barrel | Green Mountain Laminate The Ruger 22 Charger Takedown is an American-made, semi-automatic rimfire pistol chambered in .22 Long Rifle, built around Ruger's proven 10/22 action. Combining the familiar operating system of the 10/22 with a compact, bench-oriented pistol configuration, the Charger has become a distinctive member of Ruger's rimfire lineup. Originally introduced in 2007, the Ruger 22 Charger was redesigned and reintroduced in late 2014, bringing several updates to the platform. Among these was the 22 Charger Takedown, which incorporated Ruger's quick-detach barrel system, allowing the barrel assembly to be separated from the receiver for more compact storage and transportation. This example features the attractive Green Mountain laminate stock, distinguished by its layered green and black wood construction. The stock is paired with a black A2-style pistol grip, giving the firearm a distinctive appearance while maintaining the familiar ergonomics of the Charger platform. The pistol features a 10" threaded barrel with a 1/2"-28 muzzle thread pattern, allowing compatibility with appropriately threaded muzzle accessories. A factory-installed Picatinny optics rail provides a mounting platform for a scope or red dot sight. The Takedown system allows the barrel and forearm assembly to be separated from the receiver using Ruger's locking mechanism. This feature distinguishes the Takedown model from the standard 22 Charger and provides a practical advantage for storage and transportation. This example is accompanied by its original fitted hard case, and paperwork, along with a Ruger BX-15 15-round magazine and UTG 28S bipod. Its Green Mountain laminate stock and compact takedown configuration make it an attractive variation of Ruger's popular rimfire pistol. Firearm Specs Manufacturer: Sturm, Ruger & Co.
