SIG Sauer | P365 SAS | 9mm Luger | 3.1" Barrel | FT Bullseye Sight | Striker-Fired Pistol The SIG Sauer P365 SAS is a specialized variation of the highly successful P365 micro-compact pistol, developed with an emphasis on smooth contours, reduced external protrusions, and an innovative sighting system. SIG Sauer introduced the original P365 in 2018, establishing a new benchmark for ammunition capacity in a remarkably compact 9mm handgun. Its patented modified double-stack magazine design provided substantially greater capacity than many traditional single-stack pocket pistols while maintaining a slim profile. Introduced in 2019, the P365 SAS (SIG Anti-Snag) took the original design in a distinctive direction by eliminating conventional protruding front and rear sights. In their place, SIG incorporated a flush-mounted FT Bullseye fiber-optic/tritium sight recessed into the top of the slide. This unusual sighting system combines fiber-optic illumination for daylight visibility with tritium illumination in low-light conditions, providing a single bullseye-style sight picture without the raised sight posts found on conventional pistols. The SAS treatment also includes flush-fitting slide catch and takedown controls, along with smoothed slide contours intended to minimize snag points. Early examples incorporated ported barrels and slides, while later non-ported versions retained the same distinctive sighting system and exterior design. The P365 SAS combines these features with SIG Sauer's striker-fired operating system, black Nitron-finished stainless-steel slide, and textured polymer grip module. Its unconventional configuration makes it one of the more recognizable variations within the extensive P365 family.
