Winchester | Model 94 Alberta Diamond Jubilee | .38-55 Winchester | 1980 Commemorative Lever-Action Carbine The Winchester Model 94 Alberta Diamond Jubilee is a limited-production commemorative lever-action carbine manufactured in 1980 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Alberta's establishment as a Canadian province in 1905. Produced as part of Winchester's extensive commemorative firearms program, the Alberta Diamond Jubilee edition was limited to approximately 2,700 standard-edition carbines, making it a relatively scarce variation of the legendary Model 94. These rifles were created to recognize Alberta's history and heritage, incorporating distinctive decorative elements commemorating the province's agricultural and petroleum industries. Chambered in the historic .38-55 Winchester cartridge, this commemorative pays tribute to one of the original chamberings offered when the Winchester Model 1894 was introduced. The .38-55 originated during the black-powder era and became a respected sporting and target cartridge before the widespread adoption of modern high-velocity smokeless-powder ammunition. Its association with early lever-action rifles makes it a particularly appropriate chambering for a commemorative Model 94. The Alberta Diamond Jubilee features a 20" blued barrel, full-length tubular magazine, traditional walnut furniture, and a decorative silver-colored receiver with Alberta-themed commemorative engraving. The stock also features a commemorative medallion. The rifle is accompanied by its original factory box and some paperwork, adding to its appeal as a collectible Winchester commemorative. The original packaging remains present, although the Styrofoam box lid is cracked, and the outer cardboard sleeve shows edge wear while remaining in good overall condition.
