Ithaca | Model 37 Featherlight Deerslayer | 12 Gauge | Pump-Action Slug Gun Description The Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight is one of the classic American pump-action shotgun designs, first introduced in 1937 and distinguished by its bottom-loading and bottom-ejecting action. The Deerslayer variant was developed specifically for slug hunting and paired the lightweight Model 37 action with a shorter slug barrel and rifle-style sights. This example is chambered in 12 gauge and is equipped with a smoothbore Deerslayer slug barrel. It also features a B-Square saddle-style scope mount, providing an optic-mounting platform without permanently altering the receiver. Serial number 740168 places this shotgun before Ithaca's change to interchangeable Model 37 barrels at serial number 855000. On these earlier guns, barrels were individually fitted to their receivers.
